New Pics: Disney World A fire at Disney
May 23

We can officially share that secret now. We wanted to find out (if we could) if we were having a boy or girl and we decided to let everyone else decide for themselves if they wanted to find out as well. Its no surprise that once we knew, everyone else wanted to.

We also wanted to do the famous “ring test.” I’ve heard Tamer talk about this test for years now but I’ve never seen it first hand. He suspends a ring on a string above the belly or head of the mom-to-be any time after 20 weeks. If the ring moves in a pendillum, its a boy. If it moves in a circle, its a girl.

Last night, his test confirmed that it was, infact a boy. We’ll consider that our “second opinion” to confirm it. The first was a very obvious ultrasound picture (no, I won’t be posting that).

Now off to deciding on a name. Any suggestions?

No suggestions, but here’s some websites that might be helpful in the naming process. =) (I bookmarked these when we were trying to name Tarek.)

A piece of advice we received: When thinking of a name, try it out. Stand at the steps and yell the name. Can you imagine yelling that name to get your child’s attention? Or stand at the backdoor and do the same. If you don’t like the way it sounds, it’s out! =)

Here’s another fun website–what color eyes will your baby have? According to this website, Tarek had a 5.2% chance of having Blue eyes. Hmmm…guess he beat those odds. =)

I showed Tamer my previous comment because I know there was one other name site I really liked…but unfortunately we can’t find it. But here’s a couple of other baby naming sites to check out (the first is one I had forgotten about, the second is a new one Tamer found). Best of luck in the baby naming process. It’s a really fun but increbily difficult task. I mean, how much responsibility is it to give someone a name for the rest of their lives??? No pressure… =)

Thanks for the websites Melissa, I think we might have found “the name” on babynamer.com. I can’t tell you what it is yet though since we are not going to name the little guy until after he is here.
