To really appreciate this, you need to know something about my dad… his attire during the summer always consists of at least one part Polo by Ralph Lauren. Its somewhat of an obsession. Often, we find that he’s taken special care to match the Polo horse logo to a pair of matching shorts.

My brother (Rob) also had this obsession for a brief period of time. Then he countered it with a new found love: the salvation army store. The family intervened and now he’s a bit back on track sporting mostly American Eagle in his attire. Still, my dad will often look at Rob and jokingly ask “where did we go wrong?” as he fondly remembers comparing his Polo collection with Rob’s.

No, we’re not all stuck up snobs… its just one of those little inside jokes that carries from year to year. Now that you know that, you’ll be able to more fully appreciate this:

Kyler is sooo interested in food lately. We’ve been giving him rice cereal for a while now, but at his 6 month visit, we got the green light to introduce new foods every 3 days. He’s had peas, green beans, bananas, squash and sweet potatoes. (All of which he LOVES). Today, I decided to try… a lemon. A real lemon, not just something that was blended into a Gerber can like the rest of the stuff he’s had.

Kyler LOVED his valentine’s day cards this year. They were all brightly colored and some had adorable characters on them that he just wanted to eat… or, perhaps make out with. You decide.

He also loves getting “kisses” from his new frog. The frog blows air on him when we squeeze it and he loves hearing us say that the frog will give him “kisses” as he feels a quick blast of air on his face.

It seems like its been a LONG time since we posted a video of Kyler. Its not that we haven’t been taking videos left and right, its just that we don’t seem to find time to edit and post them on-line. A quick look at my computer shows that we’ve taken 47GB (that’s GIGABYTES!) of videos of him since he was born. That’s quite a lot (and that explains why my hard drive seems to be filling up quickly.)

We thought we’d get back into the habit of posting videos starting with the one below from early February.

Wow. I haven’t blogged in a long time and THAT is the best title I can come up with?

Here’s some new Kyler pictures. As you can see, he’s starting to figure out what a sippy-cup is and loves books … especially when they can be placed in the mouth and not read. Enjoy:

While shopping this weekend, I noticed that a certain little baby was keeping a close eye on a certain drink I was carrying around. More than once I noticed him starring at it as if to say “what is that and how can I get some?!”

Kyler eyes up Jamba!
