Do I need a rental car?
The entire Walt Disney World resort encompasses 48 square miles. That's enough to put 200-300 miles on a car if you stayed at the resort for a week, driving around from park to park. In short... its a BIG place!

If you're coming down just for the wedding and reception and are staying at a Disney resort, you might save some money by using Mears Transportation, a bus shuttle service that does nothing but run people between Orlando International Airport and Disney World resorts. Mears transportation usually runs about $30/person for a round-trip ticket directly to/from your resort.

How do I get around in Disney?
Once you're on Disney property, there are bus shuttles to take you just about any place you want to go. These leave every 15 minutes from the front entrance of the hotel (or theme park).

You may want to rent a car if you plan to stay longer than our wedding. If you stay off-property, you'll definitely appreciate the convenience of a car. For a (not-to-scale) map of Disney World, download this Adobe PDF map.
